West Belfast

Cedar has worked in partnership with CHOICE HOUSING and RADIUS to provide supported living services within West Belfast Living Options. One of these services, ‘Mourneview Court’ is a new facility located at 151 Glen Road, Belfast. This facility comprises of 11 modern two bedroom apartments based on two tenants sharing.

Cedar is working in partnership with Choice Housing & Radius to provide Supported Living Service to adults over the age of 18 with a learning disability at a range of sites including bungalows and apartments across West Belfast with West Belfast Living Options. The extent of support provided ranges from 1hr to 24 hrs per day, with support and guidance in all daily living tasks including, personal care, leisure and social skills and household management.

Selection and Allocation

Applicants for Supported Housing within West Belfast Living Options will only be considered from the Northern Ireland Housing Executive's Complex Needs List.

Applicants must be referred via their local Health and Social Care Trust.

Where more than one applicant has an interest in a vacancy, a joint selection and allocation panel will be held. This panel will comprise of representation from referring Health and Social Care Trust, the Housing Association partner and the Manager of the service.

The Mews

The Mews is a Supported Living Service consisting of 12 single occupancy apartments based in West Belfast. The service cares for and supports individuals with learning disabilities, Autism and/or complex needs.
Johnston Way

Johnston Way is a supported living service situated in North Lisburn. The service cares for and supports males who have complex needs and learning disabilities.
Meadowvale Court

Cedar has worked in partnership with Triangle Housing Association to provide Supported Living services at Meadowvale Court, 195 Hillsborough Old Road Lisburn. This facility comprises 13 single occupancy apartments. SMART assistive technology is available in all of the accommodation to maintain and promote independence.
Hillmount

Hillmount Close and Hillmount Court were designed to provide services for people who have high Supported Living needs and who wish to live independently with an enhanced quality of life. Current service users include people with physical disability, brain injury and both cognitive and sensory impairment.
Ardkeen

Ardkeen comprises 10 fully adapted, ensuite, 1 bedroom open plan apartments, spread over two floors. Each single occupancy home is designed to facilitate people who have high supported living needs such as those who have physical disability, brain injury or sensory impairment.

Our History

The Cedar Foundation was set up in 1941 as the Northern Ireland Council for Orthopaedic Development and, forover 75 years, we have grown from an organisation dedicated to a single condition to one that focuses on the needs of the individual, whatever their disability.
