We are delighted to launch World Autism Acceptance Week 2023. We have a number of key communications during the week that support this year’s theme of ‘Acceptance’.

Whilst almost everyone has heard of autism, far too few people understand what it’s actually like to live with autism. We will use this week to show case how acceptance has made a difference to individuals living with autism.

The core aims and objectives of the World Autism Acceptance Week 2023 are to provide:

  • Understanding of the journey for people living with autism.
  • Information on Cedar service services for adults and children living with autism.
  • Insight into the policy developments and key areas of future focus.

A schedule of daily communications will launch each day of the week providing insight into the journey of individuals experience living with autism.

Each day, we will showcase service users experience of their journey and how acceptance has made a difference to their experiences of education, employment, social inclusion, social skills, and housing. We are pleased to share stories and experiences of people how use our services and to share their journey.

We will conclude our week on World Autism Awareness Day on Sunday 2nd April 2023 – with a celebration of activities from across our services.

We ask that you read our posts each day to get a further understanding of life with autism, support services on offer and help us to the profile of autism. Please feel free like and share and of course use the hashtags of #OpportunityChoiceInclusion #WAAD #AutismAcceptance
