Representatives from Cedar recently attended the Family Friendly Employer Awards gala event at Galgorm Resort and Spa. The event was attended by over 150 professionals from organisations from across the UK and Cedar was proud to be named as the ‘Family Friendly Employer of the Year’ in the Charity category.

Award judges agreed that:

“The Cedar Foundation demonstrated a family friendly approach that was truly embedded in the culture of the organisation,” — and were, “…impressed by the ways in which the family friendly culture was promoted internally. This submission was very strong on the ‘why’ of being family friendly and had great evidence of how feedback from staff was used constructively.”

Employers for Childcare is a charity that encourages employers to implement family friendly policies in the workplace. They recognise the lack of affordable, quality childcare presents to working parents. The Employers for Childcare website contains information in the work they do to tackle this issue.
