One of our Inclusion Works service user tells us how he continues to benefit from our employability programme / Workable NI

I joined Cedar’s Inclusion Works Belfast service in March 2021. After an initial meeting with my Case Officer, Ashley Poole, I soon began to set and achieve my own personal goals. Ashley was very good at not only providing practical support and advice to begin job searching, but also offered a listening ear to my barriers and worries, which in the end enabled me to get a job I genuinely enjoy only a few months after enrolment

A few months on the job had me feeling like I could use a bit more support to make sure that everything was staying on track, so Ashley had made a referral to Workable NI - where I was assigned my new Project Officer, Lauren. Lauren arranged a meeting just to become familiar with me and what type of support would best suit my needs. As of the time of writing, I’m still availing of Workable NI’s Programme and can say with certainty that it’s been a great help in supporting me with my role. Like any job, there can be difficult days, but the advice and reassurance I receive through my Project Officer helps me overcome these setbacks and move forward. I’d highly recommend this service to anyone who feels they need any type of support in the workplace.
