Work & Training

ABI Choices

ABI Choices is a specialist Training & Rehabilitation Service delivered across Northern Ireland by the Cedar Foundation. We support adults with an acquired brain injury to engage in activities in their local community to develop their personal capacity, resilience, health and wellbeing.

ABI Choices offers goal-directed support to participants to progress from the service when they have achieved their goals.

What support is provided:

As an ABI Choices service user you will be assigned a Case Officer who will work with you on a 1:1 basis. Your Case Officer will help you to identify your personal goals and agree with you what support you will need to achieve those goals.

We help you identify activities, work tasters and accredited training courses in a wide variety of settings in your local community based on your personal interests and choices.

We provide opportunities to test out work skills on social enterprise activities at different times throughout the year, for people who have an interest in this.

Your Case Officer will offer as much support as needed, accompanying you to activities in the early stages of participation until your confidence increases and you achieve independence.

We will keep in regular contact with you and review your progress on an ongoing basis.
