"I lived in Dympna House from September 2013 before moving to Mourneview in 2015 – so altogether I have been supported by Cedar for 8 years.

What I like best about living at Mourneview is the practical and emotional support that is always available from staff.  I also enjoy being able to be involved with looking after my home including practical tasks for others, including collecting the post, sorting out the bins and looking out for everyone who lives here with me.

"I really enjoy the company of other tenants and staff. I can honestly say it has been amazing living here!"

My interests have grown over the years and I love to watch box sets, like, the Walking Dead, Power Rangers and Starwars.  I love drama and music and am waiting to start a class with Actionability, an organisation I have now been involved in for a few years. I also enjoy arts and crafts and was involved with the 'Arts for all' project. I am very sociable and love to meet new people.

Covid-19 is here and there is nothing us folks at Mourneview can do about that, but I know staff do their best to keep me safe although I cannot go out as much as I would like.  Moroe, our Social Inclusion Officer keeps our minds active and although we keep our space from each other we have all been kept entertained with outdoor activities, including weekly BBQ’s, gardening, karaoke nights, tenant quizzes, yoga and we now have a tuck shop which I help out with every day!

I have many fond memories of living at Mourneview, too many to mention! but the ones I remember best are around Christmas and going out with my friends who live here for dinner to the Beechlawn and Balmoral hotel.  I consider everyone who lives at Mourneview like a family."
