Representatives from Cedar’s Living Options team recently celebrated in style during the 2018 National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards. The highlight of the night for the team was winning the Employer Award.

Award organisers noted that:

“Through an innovative, person centred approach The Cedar Foundation go above and beyond in maximising independence, choice and wellbeing for the people they support. They have a culture which trains, retains and motivates their staff who are all striving for the same goal – to enhance the lives of the people they support.”

The National Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards celebrate excellence in the support for people with learning disabilities and recognises individuals or organisations who excel in providing quality care. Winning the award was a significant moment for Cedar who were nominated in many categories.

Chief Executive, Stephen Mathews, said:

“We have always been inspired by the commitment of our staff to ensure people with disabilities are supported to live the lives they choose, and we are delighted that they are now being recognised at a national level. Being finalists in so many categories is phenomenal. Winning the Employer Award endorses our organisational effectiveness and the skills and competence of our staff. Cedar is a growing and developing organisation and our staff are at the very heart of our success.”
