We would like to say a massive thank you to all the twenty-two schools that took part in the Christmas Stamps Appeal 2018. Over £2900 was raised through the tremendous efforts of these schools.

The Christmas Stamps Appeal is an annual event, where primary school students send their Christmas cards to each other with our Cedar Stamps. These festive stamps are bought by the students and their families and this money goes directly to Cedar to support people living with disabilities, autism and brain injury to live the life they choose. Many of the schools participate year on year because of the enjoyment the students get out of the appeal.

The communications team were invited to several school assembly’s to be presented with their fundraising cheque. This was an opportunity for the students to hear where the money they collected was going towards. A short presentation on Cedar’s vision on an inclusive society for all was delivered to the pupils.

Jane Mossen from Killowen Primary School said:

‘Our pupils really enjoyed taking part in the Christmas Stamps Appeal. It is a fantastic opportunity to raise money for a good cause whilst getting into the Christmas spirit. Cedar is a charity working in the local community that we are keen to support so that people with disabilities can live the life of their choice. We look forward to getting involved again next year.’

The Christmas Stamp Appeal 2019 will launch again in October 2019. If you would like your school to get involved, please contact our communications department at [email protected].

Well done to everyone!
