Teresa has over 30 years’ experience as an HR & Training professional within the Private, Public and Voluntary Sectors in Northern Ireland, both at a Strategic and Operational level. She has extensive experience of setting up and managing the HR Function for multi-functional/multi-sited organisations. After graduating with a BSc (Hons.) from Ulster University, she completed a Post-Grad Certificate in Management, and holds Diplomas in Training Design & Development (ITD) and Training Delivery (ITD). Teresa is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel & Development (MCIPD). She also holds an Adult Education Teaching Certificate (FETC).

Teresa joined the Cedar Foundation in July 2017, and as Co-Head of HR Management & Services, she works directly with the Directorate in the development and delivery of the Organisational People Strategy. During her career, she has held the position of Chair of Belfast Group of CAB, as well as leading various committees and reference groups, and has acted as HR Advisor and Consultant to various charities and other public and private sector businesses and organisations. Teresa was co-founder of the Northern Ireland Branch of Staff Care, a counselling service for the Voluntary Sector, and has received accolades for the work she has carried out with the long-term unemployed, ex-offenders and deaf youth.
