Transitions Officers, Wendy and Michelle, recently ran a four week Understanding my Money course with two groups from the Belfast Youth Matters Drop In.

The course looked at a range of topics including Budgeting Money, Expenditures and Saving. On the last week of the course we were excited to welcome Personal Banker Caroline from Danske Bank to talk to the young people. Caroline gave everybody very helpful tips on how to be scam aware and also provided practical advice on saving part of the weekly budget.

Caroline said:

“I really the enjoyed the session, the young people were enthusiastic and interested in learning about budgeting and saving – which was great to see!”

The young people enjoyed the course and will aim to be more mindful when spending money in future.
