The Right4U🙂 Western Area group had its annual summer scheme this year with a difference!
They adapted their events to outside activities or using social platforms so that it could safely incorporate all the Covid considerations. The service users reported feeling ‘very safe at all times.’
Activities ranged from a tour of the Derry City Walls, a picnic in the park to a mega quiz where members from the whole of the area got together over zoom to socialize and flex their brains.
They even baked via zoom! One service user told us that he had never cooked anything in his kitchen before making fabulous scones with zoom tuition. When touring the walls he told us that he had learned a more balanced story of Northern Ireland’s history and appreciated the insight. The team did well 😄!

Right 4 U Programme Cycle challenge
One of Cedar's young service users has recently completed the Right 4 U 🙂 programme with their support worker David.
The last session involved cycling from Belfast to Lisburn past Shaw's Bridge alongside the River Lagan.
Way to go!
