Participation in the event will raise funds to help Cedar provide services for children and adults with disabilities in Northern Ireland.

If running isn’t for you, then you could complete the eight mile walk which follows the same route as the main Marathon Race. If you don’t want to run all 26 miles, the Fun Run might be suitable at three miles long or you could also get a team together to complete the Team Relay Event.

Eimear McMahon assembled a team of her friends and they completed the Belfast Marathon in May 2014, raising money for Cedar. Eimear said “2014 was my first time taking part in the Belfast Marathon. My team and I found it quite tough but overall it was a fantastic day and amazing experience. I hope to take part in it again. I chose to run for The Cedar Foundation as it is a brilliant charity that does a lot of great work throughout Northern Ireland for people with disabilities and I wanted to help contribute to and highlight the work they do”.

If you want to take part, register for one of the events and once you have done this, just let us know and we will give you your sponsorship form and fundraising pack. We will support the efforts of runners and walkers as they raise both awareness of and funds for Cedar making a difference in the lives of disabled people in Northern Ireland.
