ConneXions Steering Group Meeting

The ConneXions Steering Group is made up of project participants and representatives from a range of key public service providers including IMTAC, Translink, CAWT, Disability Action & NLN.  The group is tasked with informing and influencing the ConneXions project with particular focus on the action-research element of the project.

We were pleased to welcome Dorothy Strachan, Clinical Services Manager for Momentum Scotland to our recent steering group meeting.  Momentum Scotland operate in another Interreg border region and were keen to participate in the Steering Group Meeting to offer some insight on the barriers that disabled people in Scotland encounter when trying to develop social networks in their local community.  While in Northern Ireland Dorothy also availed of the opportunity to visit Cedar and learn more about Connexions model of practice for developing social networking opportunities and challenging the barriers that disabled people are facing.
