Seskinore Club donates £100 to Cedar
Monday 09 January 2012
The Seskinore branch of the Young Farmers' Clubs of Ulster (YFCU) have donated £100 to the work of The Cedar Foundation. The YFCU is an association of local clubs run by young people that welcomes members from all communities in the town, city and countryside. There are 2,500 members aged 12-25 and over 50 active clubs across Northern Ireland.
The cheque was presented by Seskinore club member William Barton following a Disability Equality Training session at the club’s fortnightly meeting in the village. The training was delivered by Christine Tweedie and Lisa McClenaghan from Cedar.
William Barton said, “Thanks to The Cedar Foundation for coming to tonight’s meeting. All the young people enjoyed the training and got a lot out of the session. The exercises we were tasked with were fun and challenged our thinking.”
Christine Tweedie, Cedar’s Fundraising Co-Ordinator added, “Thanks to everyone at the Seskinore Club for having us this evening and donating £100 to Cedar. This kind gesture will help us support people with disabilities to get the most out of life.”
