Treetops Challenge a Success

Treetops Challenge a SuccessThe Cedar Foundation’s latest fundraising event was a success with 25 people from all over the Province travelling to the Jungle NI in Moneymore to take part in the ‘Treetops Challenge’.  Participants asked family, friends and work colleagues to sponsor them, raising £3,000 for Cedar’s work with children and adults with disabilities across Northern Ireland.

The brave volunteers tackled 40 obstacles such as rope bridges, scramble nets zip wires and Tarzan swings high among the treetops.  At some points the fundraisers were suspended as high as 70ft off the ground and the course took on average two hours for each person to complete.

Barry and Tony from Creative Commercial InteriorsChristine Tweedie, Fundraising Co-ordinator for Cedar said; “Thank you so much to all the volunteers who came down today to take part in our first ever Treetops Challenge event.  Despite the torrential rain, everyone seemed to enjoy the experience of being Tarzan or Jane for the day!"

"Thanks also to the Jungle NI for making this event such a success. Thanks also to Barry and Tony from Creative Commercial Interiors who have supported this event as well as giving goody bags to all the participants and taking part themselves.”
