Providing people with physical and sensory disabilities with the support required to access education, vocational training, community inclusion and employment opportunities
The Training Service is person centered for each individual and the type of support offered may include:
- Accredited Qualifications
- Personal Development Programmes
- Community Inclusion
- Voluntary work and employment opportunities
Service User Pathway
- Admission and Induction
- Comprehensive Vocational Profiling to determine training goals and preferred learning styles
- Action Planning to develop an individual and specific Training Plan
- Implementation of Training – community based, work based, vocational
- Monitoring & Review to ensure service quality and progression
- Progression to employment, voluntary work, further education training or community based activities

- Social Services
- Daycare staff
- Voluntary / Community Agencies
- Professional Agents
Referral Criteria
- Be aged 18 or over [18-25 Transitions Service & 26+ Training Service]
- Be a resident in Western Health and Social Care Trust
- Be independent in self-care [or have own personal assistant]
- Be motivated to participate in service that aims to maximize employment, training, community inclusion opportunities
- Be medically stable
- Have a physical and or sensory disability
