Volunteering with Cedar
The Cedar Foundation is committed to involving volunteers at all levels of the organisation and to supporting disabled people to volunteer in the wider community. The Foundation strives to ensure that the voluntary experience is mutually beneficial to the Volunteer and the organisation.
The Cedar Foundation believes that:
- All people have the potential to contribute through voluntary action to society and that equal opportunities should be afforded to all volunteers.
- Voluntary action empowers individuals to fulfill their potential and facilitate inclusion and active citizenship.
- Volunteering is essential to maintaining a caring, civil, diverse and vibrant society.
- Volunteers have a vital role in delivering The Cedar Foundation’s mission.
- Volunteering is a matter of free choice.
