Ardkeen
Ardkeen is a new SMART housing project situated in Marlborough Park North, South Belfast. It was commissioned in July 2007 in partnership with Habinteg Housing Association. The building comprises of 10 fully adapted apartments, designed to facilitate Supported Living for tenants with high support needs. The tenant group includes people with physical disability, brain injury and sensory impairment. It combines housing with care and technology to increase independence and enhance quality of life. The tenants can utilise the latest in assistive technology to manage the tasks of daily living.
Hillmount Close
This project was commissioned in July 2003 in partnership with Habinteg Housing Association. Situated on Finaghy Road South in South Belfast, it is a supported living project designed to manage the needs of those with high support needs who wish to live independently
- There are seven apartments all of which are fully adapted
- The tenant group includes people with physical disability, brain injury and sensory impairment
- It combines housing with care and technology to increase independence and enhance quality of life. The tenants can utilise the latest in assistive technology to manage the tasks of daily living.
Hillmount Court
This project was commissioned in April 2007 in partnership with Habinteg Housing Association. Situated just off Finaghy Road South in South Belfast, it is a supported living project designed to manage the needs of those with high support needs who wish to live independently
- There are five bungalows all of which are fully adapted
- It combines housing with care and technology to increase independence and enhance quality of life. The tenants can utilise the latest in assistive technology to manage the tasks of daily living.
Duke Street
- Situated in East Belfast, with capacity for four people. The units have been recently renovated to a very high standard.
- All occupants are independent in the tasks of daily living with low support needs
- Warden call support available
Ulidia House
Ulidia House is an apartment complex owned by Ulidia Housing Association and located in central Belfast. The Cedar Foundation provides 5 hours housing related support per week to 10 disabled persons living in the complex. This support enables the tenants to live independently at home in the community and includes help with:
- Budget Planning and Management.
- Maintaining a healthy lifestyle including planning, shopping and cooking healthy meals.
- Advice on home and community safety.
- Benefits advice and information.
- Managing tenancy agreement and knowledge about housing rights.
- Helping develop social and life skills in household management.
- Find educational courses, training and employment.
- Advocacy and support about assistive technology and adaptive equipment that would support independent living.
The Floating Support Worker will also provide emotional support but cannot assist with personal care, although they will help individuals to make suitable arrangements if they require this.
