South Island Cycle Our challenging cycle ride takes us to the South Island, renowned for its natural beauty. Here we cycle from the northern coast through vineyards and gorges to the picturesque West Coast, famous for its Punakaiki ‘Pancake’ Rocks. Then heading south we finish our challenge at Greymouth and celebrate with a spectacular train ride across the Southern Alps to Christchurch.

From sleepy gold-mining boom towns to Christchurch, the ‘capital’ of the South Island, this trip provides plenty of opportunity to sample the renowned Kiwi hospitality as well as to appreciate the wild remoteness of this beautiful country.
