Hazel Rodgers, Chairperson
My name is Hazel Rodgers and I have been involved with The Cedar Foundation User Forum since November 2005. I attended the User Forum Conference in 2005 and applied to become a member of the committee.
I am now Chairperson of the User Forum committee and enjoy my work immensely.
I also feel that being a part of the committee has boosted my confidence, widened my social activities and I have made many new friends.
Monica Acheson, Secretary
My name is Monica Acheson. I have been involved with The Cedar Foundation for a number of years. I became a member of the User Forum in January 2007.
I am interested in reading and socialising I hope to get a lot out of the experience I hope to learn new skills and make new friends.
Claire Ward, Clerical Officer
My name is Claire Ward. I joinedThe Cedar Foundation as a Brain Injury Trainee in June 2006. I became the Clerical Officer for the User Forum in early May 2006 & I am enjoying it very much.
Michelle Bolton, Mentor
I am 30 years old and I have worked for the Cedar Foundation for the last 3 years. I work in the Community Inclusion Programmes and Floating Support. I am very involved in my church and in my spare time I like to go out for walks and on my bike.
I was appointed User Forum Facilitator in 2004 and have seen the forum develop so much and continue to go from strength to strength. The User Forum is a central part of the foundation and I am excited about the new developments that will happen in the next year.
Anne McAleer, Facilitator
In September 2005 Anne was appointed as the Independent Facilitator for the User Forum, having previously been the User Forums secretary from April 2004.
Anne enjoys being part of the User Forum committee and finds it very rewarding. On the 7th October 2005 Anne was invited to The Cedar Foundation Achievement Awards where she received ‘The Community Award’ from The Cedar Foundation.
Deborah Cassidy
My name is Deborah Cassidy and I have just joined the User Forum. I am currently going to The Cedar Foundation and I enjoy every minute. I enjoy watching TV, listening to music and talking to my friends.
Raymond Kirk
Raymond joined the User Forum in 2004 and has gone from strength to strength since, he enjoys fishing and working with computers.
In May 2005 and 2006 Raymond was one of the brave participants in The Cedar Foundation’s Adrenaline Rush across the river Lagan.
Hugh Brannigan
My name is Hugh Brannigan and I am a member of The Cedar Foundation User Forum.
I enjoy the many different activities which the User Forum are involved in.
We attend conferences, workshops and seminars which I have taken part in.
Since being on the User Forum I have made many new friends and I know my confidence is a lot better.
I took part in The Cedar Foundation's Adrenaline Rush in May 2007.
Geraldine Johnston
My name is Geraldine Johnston. I am a resident of Ardkeen and have become a member of The Cedar Foundation User Forum in January 2007. I like to do crosswords.
Linda Kelly
My name is Linda Kelly. I joined the Community Inclusive Programme in 2004. I have sat several exams including IT and Hope to take this further. I enjoy local history, Genealogy, Gardening (on voluntary basis at Musgrave Park Hospital) and I am currently learning to swim. I attended the conference in Lisburn and decided to join the User Forum this year.
Brian Thornton
My name is Brian Thornton. I live in Omagh. I have been working with The Cedar Foundation since 2005. This year I became a member of the User Forum. I was an electrician and enjoy helping people in anyway I can.
