Fundraising Assistants
The Cedar Foundation provides quality support, care, accommodation and training services to enable disabled adults and children to participate in all aspects of community life. To support this work our Marketing and Appeals Department requires volunteer support to help with fundraising for the organisation.
Fundraising Assistants will support the Marketing and Appeals team in organising a range of fundraising activities including:
- Major events (4 per year)
- Mailing campaigns
- Local fund raising events
- Overseas treks
Fundraising Assistants can carry out various tasks including;
- Preparing fundraising materials
- Telephone marketing
- Counting money from fundraising events
- Administrative support within Marketing and Appeals department
Location:
Cedar Foundation Head Office, 31 Ulsterville Avenue, Belfast,BT9 7AS
Hours:
Most activities will take place between 9.00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday although some events may take place at weekends or during the evening. Time commitment is flexible and ideally Fundraising Assistants should be available 2- 3 hours per week on a regular basis to assist with planned activities.
Skills Required:
Essential skills are enthusiasm, a professional telephone manner, reliability and a commitment to working as part of team to achieve a quality service,
Some roles require more specific skills such as administration experience, computer literacy and accuracy in accounting money and preparing lodgments.
