Floating Support
Support to adults living in their own home to carry out their housing responsibilities as independently as possible.
The programme is tailored to suit each individual. Time is spent initially to design and agree a personal Support Plan. Typically support is up to 6 hours per week over 6 – 9 months.
Support may include:
- Budget management
- Maintaining a healthy lifestyle
- Home safety
- Finding sources of benefits advice and information
- Knowing your rights as a tenant
- Meeting tenant responsibilities
- Developing social and life skills
- Sourcing advice and support on adaptations for the home
Support is short term and does not include personal care support. It is aimed at those who need some specific input to achieve skills and learn about strategies that they can use to have a more independent, less chaotic lifestyle.
