The Belfast and District Veterans’ League have fundraised nearly£5,000 for The Cedar Foundation. The competition, which occurs annually, seeks to forward all entry fees to two nominated charities- this year The Cedar Foundation was chosen alongside the Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund.
Fourteen golf clubs participated in the competition as follows; Malone, Balmoral, Belvoir Park, Dunmurray, Knock, Clandeboye, Holywood, Helen’s Bay, Donaghadee, Cliftonville, Royal Belfast, Bangor, Scrabo and Shandon Park.
Christine Tweedie, Cedar’s Fundraising Co-ordinator commented: ‘Cedar extends a very big thank you to all the golfers who took park in this year’s Veterans’ golf competition. Your generous support will help us to continue to promote our vision- a society in which disabled adults and children are fully included citizens.’
