Hair Today Gone Tomorrow

Date Posted: Monday 22 June 2009

Hair Today Gone TomorrowBelfast man Roy Fitzpatrick went to extraordinary lengths to raise money for Cedar when he had his head shaved and invited his friends and family along to witness the event.

“I have been growing my hair for over a decade and with the arrival of a child in April I decided, at 26, it's time for a change.” Said Roy before the event.

He continued “Presently, I have dreadlocks almost reaching my bum and I'd like to raise money for the Cedar Foundation when I cut them off. The Cedar Foundation takes care of my younger brother, Eoin three days a week while my Mother and Father are at work and when raising money for a charity it's best to pick one close to home.”

Hair Today Gone Tomorrow“I plan to cut my hair after the baby is born (I have to get at least one photo of my hair with the baby so baby can laugh at his daddy in years to come.”

Roy was true to his word as the pictures confirm. Cedar would like to thank Roy for all the effort he put in to this event and for the fantastic total of over £1,600 he raised.
