Fundraising Rush in Craigavon

Date Posted: Wednesday 04 June 2008

Adrenaline Rush 2008Nearly £8000 was raised by brave Adrenaline Rushers who zipped across Craigavon Lakes recently to raise money for Northern Ireland Disability Charity, The Cedar Foundation. People came from far and wide to fly high over the beautiful lakes, including a group of lads determined to make their stag do a little bit different.

Christine Tweedie, Fundraising Co-ordinator with the Charity explains more:

“A group of guys from Belfast came along to start off their stag do in style by zipping across the lakes. It certainly was something different! We were also delighted with the new venue, the lakes are a great setting for the event and the zip slide was longer and faster than previous ones we have run in Belfast”.

Adrenaline Rush 2008She continues:

“A very big thank you to Craigavon Watersports Centre, they were really fantastic on the day, providing facilities and even putting on a BBQ for us. All money raised will go towards developing and delivering services for disabled people in Northern Ireland. Thanks to everyone who took part, their support is really appreciated”.

“Anyone who missed the fun at the Adrenaline Rush can join in at our next two events, an Abseil in September and a Firewalk and a Glasswalk in October.”
