The Mid-Ulster Vintage Vehicles Club presented a £13,000 cheque to The Cedar Foundation on Monday night. This magnificent sum was raised by the club?s annual vintage tractor and car trek that took place this year on 23rd and 24th July.
The convoy travelled from Moneymore, to Ballyclare via Antrim and Toomebridge on the first day and returning to Moneymore via Ballymena and Portglenone on day two.
The Club raises money every year for a different charity and The Cedar Foundation were delighted that they were chosen for 2004. The Foundation works in partnership with people in Northern Ireland who have physical disability, developing and delivering services that promote choice, equality, independence and opportunity.

Brian Gilbert, Treasurer of The Mid ?Ulster Vintage Vehicle Club said:
"Thanks need to go to all those who took part in the 2 day event and the public who so generously sponsored the drivers and gave to the street collection. The Club have now raised a total of £211,000 over the events 27-year history. The event could not have been so successful without the help of Chambers for hire of the bus, Shell Direct for fuel, Barry Vincent the bus driver, Rhonda Glover for use of the Land Rover and Len Taggart & Ballyeaston Club for their hospitality and food".
Christine Tweedie, Fundraising Officer with The Cedar Foundation added:
"Fundraising plays a vital role in our work, enabling us to continue providing services for adults and children with physical disability in Northern Ireland. You have all done a tremendous job and we are very grateful for the time and organisation that you have put into making this years trek such a success and raising such a fantastic amount for The Cedar Foundation".
