Beauty Therapist Marlene Marcus, with the aid of special guest Olivia Nash, held a pampering night in The Ross Park Hotel, Ballymena recently, to raise funds for her to travel to Canada in September 2004. Marlene is trekking through the stunning Chilcotin Mountains in British Columbia to raise funds for The Cedar Foundation?s Children and Young People's Services. The Cedar Foundation works in partnership with people with physical disability and/or brain injury throughout Northern Ireland.
Special guest for the evening was Olivia Nash, 'Ma' from TV's Give My Head Peace. Olivia was delighted to attend and was able to sit back and relax while having a facial and full make-up session. Reflexology, facials, manicures and pedicures, Indian head massage demonstrations and much more were available on the night.
The evening was very successful, raising £1000.00 towards Marlene's adventure trek. Marlene adds:
"It was a great night, raising a lot of money for my trip for The Cedar Foundation. Olivia was lovely and it was great to meet her. I would like to say thanks for all the support I received, both from colleagues who helped out on the night and also from the large number of people who attended and enjoyed their pampering!"
