ConneXions
ConneXions is a new cross-border project for Cedar, in partnership with National Learning Network (Ireland). It supports networks in the Newry, Dundalk, L/Derry and Letterkenny areas. If you have a disability, ConneXions, like our other social networks, will give you a chance to meet other people and to participate in a range of activities in your local community.
One part of the project is delivering capacity building training to disabled people, who will then set up and develop social networks groups. The groups will encourage and support others to take part in activities in their local communities.
Another part of the project is research which will help us to understand what prevents people with disabilities from participating in social activities in their local community. This information will then be presented to a forum of people who can influence both governments to make policy changes which will benefit disabled people and enable them to participate more fully.
