Social Networking

Soal NetworkingcMany disabled people can become socially isolated because of a lack of opportunity for emotional, social and peer support. To address this Cedar has been piloting the development of Social Networking to promote peer support and participation in heightening the community engagement of disabled people.

We have helped to establish networks in various parts of Northern Ireland which are available to Cedar service users. We have also started a programme to set up cross-border social networks which are open to all people with disabilities.

Our social networking programmes aim to help you connect with others, make and maintain friendships and explore the opportunities available in your local community. We provide support for each network but aim also to support you and all participants to move towards independent management of your networks.
