Supported Employment Services

Chris at AsdaWe offer specialist Supported Employment Services to help you to look for a job or give you support if you're in danger of losing your existing one as a result of disability.

We work closely with employers to identify job opportunities and provide on-going advice and practical assistance to ensure the support needs of both you and your employer are met and that you can work independently.

As part of a partnership of disability organisations, called Supported Employment Solutions (SES), we deliver the following employment programmes designed to respond to individual needs and to allow for different types of employment and support:

Workable (NI)
This programme is available across Northern Ireland and is designed to help you gain or retain employment and can help if you are at risk of losing your job as a result of disability or a health condition. You can access this programme if you wish to work, or are working more than 16 hours per week.

Work Connect
Work Connect provides pre-employment support and a job finding service for people with disabilities and health conditions.  This programme is open to anyone in receipt of Incapacity Benefit or Employment Support Allowance in all parts of Northern Ireland.

Is it right for you?
The programmes are available to you if you're aged over 16 with a disabilities or other health conditions and you want to progress into or stay in employment.

How do I get involved?
Referrals for Workable (NI) and Work Connect come mainly from Employment Advisers in local Jobs and Benefits Offices.  However, if you are interested, you can contact us directly yourself or get in touch via your Social Worker, Health Care Professional, Training Provider, Family or Carer.
