Refresh your educationWe can help with careers advice, based on your needs and goals, to steer you to full or part-time courses at your local college, in the community or at Cedar. You can start right from basics or build on your existing achievements and qualifications.
We can also provide direct training to prepare you for college or work experience or as back-up learning for courses you're doing at college or work placements you're involved in. This can involve, for example essential skills like numeracy, literacy, employability and ICT (Computers), as well as advice and support with assistive technology. Additional support classes are arranged according to your needs, for example independent travel training, social and life skills, or practical cookery. Qualifications are available for all of these courses.

We offer one-to-one advice to help you discover what you enjoy and can give you all the support you need to turn your passion into a career. We can challenge and develop your skills with a range of local employers to help you gain valuable work experience, try out different career choices and prepare you for paid or voluntary employment.
Get the support you need
We will work closely with you to assess your support needs and make sure you have all the support and practical assistance you need to achieve your goals. Throughout your programme your key worker will agree each step with you, set up activities from your Action Plan, act as mentor and guide, and keep in regular contact. We can also assist with course fees, transport or equipment required, such as course materials and assistive computer equipment.
