Cedar is looking for volunteers to take part in our Charity Grand Prix fundraising eventWe are looking for individuals or teams of people to take part in our Charity Grand Prix fundraising event in aid of our work with children and adults with disabilities across N.Ireland.


Due to take place on Wednesday 21st March 2012 at 7pm at Raceview Karting, Ballymena, the evening promises to be fueled with adrenaline pumping competition!


Test your driving skills to the limit as you experience the sheer excitement of indoor karting! The circuit has plenty of bridges, ramps and tunnels to challenge drivers.


To take part in Cedar's Charity Grand Prix you must be 16 years or over, pay a deposit of £20 and raise a minimum of £60 in sponsorship.


You will compete against other fundraisers on the night to become Cedar's Grand Prix Champion.


The running order of the evening will be as follows:

  • Cedar is looking for volunteers to take part in our Charity Grand Prix fundraising eventRegistration
  • All drivers are provided with a fitted race suit, helmet and racing gloves
  • Safety briefing
  • Practice laps for every driver- to ensure that each driver has the chance to learn the track before competing in the race for points
  • 4 heats per driver, each heat starting in a different grid position
  • Quarter-Final Races for all drivers to determine the grid for the Semi-Finals
  • Semi-Final Races for all drivers to determine the grid for the Grand Final
  • Top 6 drivers compete in the Grand Final race
  • Podium presentation- a Trophy and prize is presented to the winner and certificates for those who came second and third
  • All drivers will receive an information sheet which gives details of their placing and lap times

 

A buffet supper will be provided throughout the evening and there will be a prize for the driver who raised the most in sponsorship.


You can take part as an individual or a group of friends/employees. At the end of the race all drivers receive an information sheet which gives details of their placing and lap times so you can see where you rank amongst your friends/colleagues.
